Patient Review

Awesome Dentistry is one of my biggest regrets in my adult life. I wanted to give this place a chance after a recommendation from my family, so I drove 40 minutes out of the city to check it out. First appointment, they recommend a night guard. What I really need is braces because my teeth are maligned and grind when I eat, not during sleep. Whatever, I would try it anyways. They charged me $200 upfront for it and molded my mouth. My wife had made an appointment the same day as well, but they didn't even have her on the books. They fit her in anyways, great. Drilled out a cavity, filled it. Normal price. She needed to come back to have a wisdom tooth removed. We come back for the wisdom tooth, thinking I had to drive her home. Nope, they gave her nothing but novocaine to pull an impacted wisdom tooth. Not even any gas. While they were ripping her tooth out, I told them about how my bite guard didnt fit well. They took me into one of the dentist rooms so they could try to fix it, great. The dentist grinded down parts of the bite guard, didn't really help. Then he proceeds nonchalantly, "well why don't we just grind down your tooth a bit." I didn't really know what to say while he's in my mouth, so he shaves down the point on one of my teeth, which I imagine is great for my enamel. The bite guard still didn't fit well, and doesn't to this day. Whatever, $200 wasted, I guess. My wife and I leave, she's a bit traumatized from the "no pain, little pressure" the doctor repeated over and lver while exteacting her impacted tooth, entirely lucid. My wife ends up going back by herself because the filling she got was still very sensitive and she needed it fixed. They refilled it. As she is leaving, they corner her there to pay for previous services, including an additional payment of $500 for my non-functional mouth guard. I was never informed that the price of that thing was $700+. She calls me, I talk to the manager, I'm upset, but they say we must pay. We drained our savings account and gave them everything we had down to less than $100 in my account, as she could not leave without paying. This is for a bite guard that doesn't fit, a filling that still hurts, and an impacted wisdom tooth extracted with only novocaine. Also, the filling was not fixed and she still is unable to drink anything cold on that aide of her mouth to this day. I strongly recommend you to avoid this business at all costs. Going here was the biggest mistake in my adult life, and a huge waste of money, at a time I didn't have any to spare. It's strange, there's hidden prices, they pressure you into services you don't want or can't afford, all under the guise of friendliness at a discount.

I have received wonderful care here for the past several years. I’ve had cleanings, fillings, wisdom teeth pulled, and a crown redone, and everything was done with great care, very professional, and with no issues. They are organized and have just redone and built out a beautiful new office space. Dr. Aleman and Dr. Sylvia are so kind, very skilled dentists, personal, and have made me feel so comfortable during procedures.
